Family Dentistry

As a Family Dentist I do care for a wide variety of patients, from young children to older adults. In our practice it is common to see all generations from one family visiting us for decades. We know all of our patients, they are part of our big dental family. Together we celebrate, sometimes good things will happened, sometimes bad things could happened, but no matter what, my patients know that we'll treat them with respect and dignity — giving them personalized, comprehensive care of the highest quality.

1st Visit — Diagnosis...our most valuable tool

In order to prevent dental disease, the active disease must be evaluated and eliminated. Therefore, we must have a complete picture of your present oral condition as well as insight into your dental and medical history.

Your examination will include:

1. Digital X-rays to show decay,infections in the bones, missing teeth, extra teeth and the positions of your developing teeth.
    
2. Soft tissue evaluation of your cheeks, lips,tongue,and the muscles that make up your mouth to detect the possible presence of abnormal tissue.
    
3. The teeth will be examined for cavities, their position and existing restorations.
    
4. Children will recieve a fluoride treatment and evaluation of growth and development. Many problems can be spotted as early as three years of age to reduce what might later be costly treatment. Children are also introduced to the basic techniques of good home care, as we believe that education of the young is vital to good dental health.
